Migun was developed in South Korea in 1988 by Sang Bok Lee and has since become the leader in Far Infrared Massage Systems. Migun opened its US headquarters in Los Angeles- California in 1998. YES. The main product (Migun Thermal Massage Bed HY-7000) is approved by the FDA as a Class II Medical Instrument under the 510K regulations and CAN BE USED WITHOUT PHYSICIAN PRESCRIPTION. This also means that the equipment CAN BE USED WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION AND IS SAFE FOR HOME USE. Migun has received OTC (Over the Counter) Clearance, which means that a customers can purchase our products without getting a prescription from their doctors because the FDA believes that Migun Medical Instruments is safe enough for anyone. | 8. Is there any body limits (age, weight, height) to use Migun? |
Generally there is no age limits. So, many different body sizes are able to do Migun Thermal Massage Bed HY-7000 because the critical distance is the positioning of the rollers on either side of the spine. This is along the main bladder meridian and is independent of height. There is one lower body extension for people 6'4" or taller so that the lower rollers reach the ankles. Simply unzip the lower body unit, reach under the mesh cover and manually lift the rollers to extend. But there is some weight limit using the bed- up to150 kg. | 10. Can I use Migun more than once a day? |
YES! Migun can be done on a daily basis (BUT maximum - three times per day per person!). We recommend a maximum of one hour during a single session, and at least four hours in between sessions. Technically Migun can be used multiple times in one day. Most users feel that Migun should be used twice a day for maximum benefit.

| 11. What is an Improvement Reaction? |
It is a healing reaction. An improvement reaction is the temporary process of making you "FEEL WORSE IN ORDER TO FEEL BETTER". It is a process that reveals hidden diseases and sicknesses through the detoxification process. When muscles are overworked they ache. When those muscles continue to be put to work, they eventually stop aching. This is the basic concept of an improvement reaction.. Acupressure, Heat, and Far infrared rays will penetrate into your blood streams and improve blood circulation, which will dissolve toxic materials/waste in your body. An improvement reaction usually shows within 3-5 days after the first use, but it's different for everyone. For some people, the improvement reaction shows after 1-3 weeks, and in extreme cases, 6 months to 1 year after continuous use. The detoxification process may temporarily cause high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, anaemia, backache, headache, stomach trouble and neuralgia. Everyone experiences different improvement reaction and it is hard to state who will go through which symptoms at what time. | 12. Will there be any discomfort? |
It is normal to experience mild soreness after a treatment especially if you are new to bodywork. This will dissipate over a short time and with repeated use. At anytime, you may add towels for cushion until your body gets used to the new movement. Like other highly developed fitness techniques, such as Pilates, Migun focuses on the core of the body. It is very common to feel intense pressure and even soreness in the lower back during and following the first few sessions of Migun Thermal Massage Bed HY-7000. The tailboe may feel tender, inflamed or even bruised. This is a healing reaction and indication that with Migun the body is trying to heal the lower back. The Migun Thermal Massage Bed HY-7000 aggressively works the lower back to soften connective tissue and detoxify this crucial area for maximum flexibility and health of the entire spine. | 13. Can Migun concentrate on one specific area? |
YES, the manual mode in P6 will allow you to control the movement of the rollers on a specific area. However, it is best to work the whole body continuously. For example, though P2 focuses more intensively on the upper back and neck, it also works the entire length of the spine for two reasons: 1- In general, everything in the body is connected and a problem in one part of the back may be a result of tension in another area of the spine. 2- If a particular area is worked too long or hard, the body will resist such effort, therefore Migun will quite intensively work an area and then move away to allow for recovery. | 15. Why do you need to drink a lot of water after using Migun? |
Migun combines massage with up to 70 C (158 F) Far Infrared Heat, so it dehydrating on the tissues.
